- To mark the landing of the army in Sringar in 1947 to evict Pakistani intruders from Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army celebrated its 68th Infantry Day with traditional solemnity and gaiety.
- Infantry Day was celebrated with traditional fervor with wreath laying ceremony organised at ‘Amar Jawan Jyoti’ at India Gate here.
- Army chief Gen Dalbir Singh Suhag, senior veterans, Colonels of Infantry Regiments and serving officers attended the ceremony.
