Every year 4 December is celebrated as the Navy Day in India to celebrate the magnificence, achievements and role of the naval force to the country. India celebrated44th anniversary of the India Navy on December 4 2015.
- Navy Day in India is celebrated to commemorate the courageous attack on theKarachi harbor during the Indo-Pakistan war (at 4th of December in the year 1971) by the Indian Naval Missile boats as well as to reverence all the martyrs of that war.
