Gujarat takes up PPP Projects under PM Awas Yojana

As a part of the recently launched Prime Minister Awas Yojana (Urban)Gujarat has become the first state in the country to take up Public-Private Partnership Projectsfor redevelopment of slums in urban areas.
  • 30 PPP Projects proposed by Gujarat Government has been approved by the inter-ministerial Central Screening and Monitoring Committee (CSMC) of the Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation (HUPA) for rehabilitation of slum dwellers in Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot and Vadodara.
  • 17,580 new dwelling units will be constructed for slum dwellers living on government lands in these four cities of Gujarat by private developers.

  1. The PPP project will never be successful for EWS peoples. It is to help builders only to give land reserved for EWS in ULC / TPS plots also have reserved lands for EWS houses. Why ppp on reserved plots. All to mak money from builders from 1995 till date in Gujarat.
