World sight day is observed on 8 October 2015. It is observed every year on the second Thursday of October.
- Theme: Eyes care for all
- It is celebrated since 2002 by IAPB (International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness) in cooperation with World Health Organization and also promote vision 2020: The Right to sight
- It aimed to bringing together of governments and non-governmental organisations to banish causes of avoidable blindness and visual impairment.
