India finishes 9th at Nomura Cup

Indian team led by Patna’s Aman Raj, current leader of the IGU men amateur, finished 9th on the final day of the 27th Asia-Pacific Amateur Golf Team Championship – Nomura Cup.
Venue : Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
IGU rank – Samarth Dwivedi, Rahul Ravi and Harimohan Singh, IGU ranked 3rd, 5th and 7th respectively.
Japanese team won the Nomura Cup title for the first time since 1989 defeated Chinese Taipei at the Yas Links Golf Club.

  • Men’s Asia-Pacific Teams Championship or Nomura Cup is the trophy of the Asia-Pacific Amateur Golf Team Championship. The tournament is played every two years across Asia-Pacific region.
  • The tournament originated in Japan in 1961.
