A book titled “Two Years Eight Months and Twenty Eight Nights” written by the British Indian novelist Sir Ahmed Salman Rushdie was released.

• He won the prestigious Man Booker Prize for his second novel ‘Midnight’s Children’ in 1981.
• He also won ‘The best of the Booker (2008)’ and ‘Canadian Screen Award for Adapted Screenplay (2013)’ for the same novel Midnight’s Children.
