Justice Vineet Saran has been appointed as Chief Justice of Orissa High Court by the President of India Pranab Mukherjee .The new Chief justice will take oath on February 26.
- Vineet was officiating as a senior judge of Karnataka High Court prior to his new appointment, the post was lying vacant since 15 February after the serving Judge D H Waghela took charge of Chief Justice of Bombay.
- Pradeep K Mohanty is currently working as acting chief justice of Orissa High court.
- Justice Vineet saran graduated from Allahabad University in 1976 and obtained L.L.B in 1979.
