A Few environment activists under the leadership of Deepak Naik– chairperson of Maharashtra state Economic development council have formed a committee in Nashik to revive Godavari.
- The committee includes Rekha Somalia, Deepak Naik , environment activists and experts
- Naik who has rejuvenated nearly 78 rivers strongly believes that there is a lot of potential to revive Godavari
- Activists also plan to encourage eco tourism, bird tourism and agro tourism compared to boat club and seaplane
