Writer, columnist and journalist Mahip Singh(85) passed away at a private hospital in Gurgaon after a brief illness, family members said.
About Mahip Singh :
- Singh was born on August 15, 1930 in Uttar Pradesh.
- Collection of his first short stories ‘Subah ke Phool‘ was published in 1959.His famous novels include ‘Ye Bhi Nhi’,Abhi Shesh Hai’ and ‘Bich ki Dhoop‘.Nearly he published 20 stories.
- He had been editing literary magazine ‘Sanchetna‘ for the past 45 years. He established Bhartiya Lekhak Sangathan in 1978.
- He was honoured by the central and state governments and various literary organisation for his contribution to literature.
