- He is currently serving as Deputy Chief of Mission in Tehran in Ministry of Overseas and Indian Affairs in the Ministry of External Affairs
- He was Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer of 1994-batch.
- Yogeshwar will succeed Dr. T. Suresh Babu in Republic of Armenia
