Andhra Pradesh has decided to abolish VAT, CST on Sugar factories and permit foreign institutions to establish their campuses in the state. The decisions were taken at the State Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
- The other decisions the Cabinet approved includes hiking of wages of Anganwadi workers, permitting 15 top foreign universities and 20 top universities in the country to establish their campuses in the state and extend the lease of land given to the industrial purpose to 99 years.
